FAQ
Q. Do I have to be there? Can I join you?
​A. ​ All levels of participation are welcome! If you'd like to step away from the process, I'll check in with you at the end of each hour for a progress report, and will come to you as I work with any questions or concerns. If you'd like to join me, we can divide and conquer!

Q. My kids will be home. Is that a problem?
A. ​ No, never a problem. However... I do tend to get more done when the kids don't see everything being pulled out. I'll work with you no matter the situation.

Q. Should I buy bins and supplies ahead of time?
A. That depends on our conversation. I can bring bins. It's best to have several on hand, but not to buy too much ahead of time because I won't know exactly what you'll need until I see what you're getting rid of, and what you're keeping. It's a bit of a chicken and egg situation. Taking measurements during the process also helps ensure you're buying the best bins and baskets for your space.

​Q. How do you know what to do? I don't even know where to start with my own home.
A. I start by accessing your home, talking to you about your daily routines and big hurdles, and then starting with the most dire areas. I usually pull everything out and sort into like items. I'll start moving items around your home. Nothing gets thrown away without your knowledge. Anything that looks sentimental or important is put aside for you to see. I take a lot of care into making sure your personal items are handled with care. From there it's a grind, but a grind that I love. I just keep going, until a system forms and we find something thats functional for you.

Policies & Fine Print

Review your space before work begins to ensure there are no obvious hazards.

I reserve the right to decline work if I feel the conditions are hazardous to my health.

I reserve the right to request dogs or other pets be kenneled or kept behind a closed door when I work if I feel uncomfortable.

I will not lift anything over 30lbs by myself.

I do not dispose of paint, chemicals or cleaning supplies. I can however, clear out, arrange for and coordinate the pickup of materials through the Village of Oak Park or your local city services.

Three hour minimum for Oak Park/River Forest area.
-
Four hour minimum for areas more than 5 miles outside of the Oak Park/River Forest area.

I take credit cards, Venmo, Zelle and cash.

I donate to The Oak Park Resale Shop, Brown Elephant, Goodwill, migrant causes through several local collections, and more.

A flat fee of $35 for donation drop offs is figured into the total price.

For large projects, a deposit for half of the projected total will be due before work begins.

Full payment is due immediately upon completion of the project.

​A deposit is required for design decks with full payment due upon completion of the deck.
